Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Scuba Quest Phuket. To ensure the smooth and safe running of all our diving activities, the following conditions apply to all bookings, courses and tours.
1. Booking and Reservation
A reservation submitted via our online form is initially treated as a non-binding enquiry. A binding booking is only confirmed upon explicit written confirmation by Scuba Quest Phuket.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
We plan our boats and instructors carefully in advance. The following cancellation conditions therefore apply:
- Cancellations before 7:00 am the day before: A refund of 90% of the amount paid will be issued (less 10% processing and transaction fees and any non-refundable taxes).
- Cancellations after 7:00 am the day before or no-show: No refund will be issued for late cancellations or failure to appear on the day of the tour.
- Early termination of a tour: If a guest cuts a tour short (e.g. due to seasickness or ear problems), no partial refund is due.
3. Dive Fitness and Medical Information
The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Every participant must complete the medical questionnaire before the start. If any questions are answered YES, a current medical certificate confirming dive fitness must be provided. We reserve the right to exclude participants from diving if there are health concerns or if they appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Proof of Certification
Certified divers must present their certification card and ideally a logbook. If verification (e.g. via the PADI/SSI database) is not possible, we reserve the right to limit the dive depth to 12 metres or require a refresher course (Scuba Review).
5. National Park Fees
Dives in national parks (e.g. Phi Phi Islands) are subject to additional park entrance fees. These are not included in the tour price and are generally paid in cash in Thai Baht directly on board to the national park rangers. Please have the exact amount ready.
6. Liability and Insurance
Diving is undertaken at the participant's own risk. Scuba Quest Phuket is not liable for accidents caused by the guest's own negligence or force majeure. In accordance with Thai law (TAT), we hold a local accident insurance policy for guests. However, we strongly recommend taking out your own international dive insurance (e.g. DAN), as this provides more comprehensive cover including recompression chamber treatment and repatriation.
7. Rental Equipment and Personal Property
Participants are liable for the replacement value of any rental equipment lost or damaged through gross negligence. Scuba Quest Phuket accepts no liability for personal property, in particular cameras and mobile phones, on board the vessels.
8. Changes by the Operator
The captain or dive centre manager may alter routes or cancel tours at any time due to weather conditions or safety considerations. In the event of a complete cancellation by us, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
9. Photography & Video Rights
We reserve the right to use photos or videos taken during tours for marketing purposes (social media, website). If you do not wish to appear in any published material, please inform us before the tour begins.
10. Jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction for all legal matters is Phuket, Thailand.
